摘要

ZrO_2-CoAl_2O_4 composite was fabricated via infiltrating solvent debound injection-molded green body. The technique used consists of the following steps: ceramic injection molding to prepare 3Y-TZP green body, solvent debinding, infiltrating debound specimen using solutions containing cobalt and aluminum ions with ethanol-water mixtures as solvent, and sintering. When the ethanol content of the solution was low, infiltration was impossible due to the hydrophobic feature of the organic binders. The addition of CoAl_2O_4 endowed ZrO_2 with a blue color, and the mechanical properties of the fabricated blue ceramics exhibited no significant change compared with the pure ZrO_2 material.
