Medical Tourism: Expand Health Benefits,Save Money

Employers continue strug-gling with ways to deal with the high cost of health care. A re-cent National Business Group on Health Survey of large U.S. employers found that they be-lieve their health care benefit costs will increase almost 9% in 2011. Because of this increase, 63% of employers plan to in-crease the percentage employ-ees contribute to the premium, while 46% plan to raise out-of-pocket maximums, and more than 60% will offer a consumer-directed health plan next year.
