MAIN ADVANTAGES IN THE USE OF SERVO MECHANISMS IN THE I.S. MACHINE

The advantages of using servo-mechanisms in IS machine glass container production are well known. This article will detail the results of a comprehensive test carried out on an IS machine in production and will highlight the improved control of the servo-mechanism movement compared to that of a pneumatic mechanism as well as other important advantages such as equipment alignment control mat can be gained by the study of the servo-motor signals. The article will also show how me advantages of servo-mechanisms benefit the glass container production quality and machine speeds giving overall productivity improvements.
