MANAGEMENT OF PACKAGING WASTE IN A DIFFERENTIAL WASTE COLLECTION SYSTEM

The search for an environmental balance of the effects of our culture aims at transforming waste materials into resources, with the first objective of reducing the quantity of waste produced and setting for waste management the main goal of waste recovery. This article will describe the experience that REVET, an Italian packaging waste collection and processing company, has acquired using a multi-component collection system and will outline the advantages over the more common mono-component system.
