Argentina's planning ministry has denied a rift between government officials and Miguel Galuccio, the general manager of the state-run oil company YPF. Planning minister Julio De Vido, who oversees national energy affairs, and all other national authorities "are working in an articulated and joint manner, each one from their own place," the ministry !said July 11. This came hours after Argentine newspaper Clarin reported that Galuccio, who took the reins of YPF when it was expropriated from Spain's Repsol in May, was at odds with the deputy economy minister Axel Kicillof, who doubles as a director of the state oil company (IGR 698/9).
