Caltex block puts Goldman on top

Australia's biggest block trade added to a boom in Asia-Pacific equity offerings at the end of the first quarter, lifting deal volumes more than 50% on the previous year and putting Goldman Sachs on top of the league table for bookrunners. After a slow start to the year, overall equity capital market volumes in Asia, including Australasia but not Japan, reached US$58.7bn in the first quarter, up 58% year-on-year.
