摘要

India sent a clear signal to global investors last week that it did not want to be a destination for hot money. The third-largest Asian economy implemented a new rule on February 3 that bars foreign investors from buying rupee-denominated corporate bonds with remaining maturities of less than three years. The regulation is meant to encourage money managers to buy and, ideally, hold longer-term assets.
