Natixis plots Asian expansion

Natixis last week named Emmanuel Lefort global head of markets for Asia-Pacific in Hong Kong, as the French bank expands its corporate and investment banking division while others are retreating from the region. "Our business in Asia has expanded rapidly in the last three or four years," said Alain Gallois, CEO for corporate and investment banking in Asia-Pacific at Natixis. "Whereas four years ago Asia accounted for around 5% of revenue globally for CIB, today it is around 11%."
