The prospect of French computer games company UBISOFT ENTERTAINMENT being bought by Vivendi helped secure strong demand for its zero-coupon convertibles that were priced with a 60% premium. The terms achieved on the €400m of five-year bonds for an unrated issuer underline why bankers say it is virtually impossible for investment-grade companies to issue CBs in euros at the same tenor.
