Second SNC loan review scheduled for third quarter

US regulators are preparing to begin the second of a now twice-annual review of large syndicated loans as leveraged lending remains a focus, bankers said. The Federal Reserve, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp have increased the frequency of their assessment of loan underwriting standards, known as the Shared National Credit review, to twice a year. The second 2016 exam is scheduled for this quarter.
