Lenders to German oil and gas safety tools company bartec have granted the company a forbearance period regarding its debt covenants while the company waits for lenders to put forward a restructuring plan for its €384m of debt. A third of Bailec's lenders agreed to grant the forbearance period, after the Charterhouse-owned company failed to get the backing of two thirds of the lenders for a covenant waiver.
