Apple turns Green for first time

Few mega-corporations have managed to combine global reach with at least the appearance of progressive values as well as apple, and the company struck Green gold again last week. As part of a US$12bn offering, the lords of the iPhone sold their first-ever Green bond, putting their brand name clout behind a small but quickly growing asset class. The US$1.5bn seven-year bond, which was priced at Treasuries plus 135bp to yield 2.85%, was essentially the first Green bond from a major technology company.
