Greek bank issuance gains pace

Eurobank lost little time following National Bank of Greece into the euro covered bond sector to sell its first ever deal in the format, but piraeus bank eschewed a public syndication for its own debut trade. Eurobank was the second Greek lender to issue debt in October, jumping in after NBG's €750m 2.75% October 2020 three-year (B3/-/B) became the country's first public bank bond since 2014. Its €500m 2.75% three-year (B3) priced at a yield of 2.98%.
