Unsecured noteholders in norske skog could get an improved deal after the ailing pulp and paper producer agreed to extend its deadline for reaching a consensual restructuring deal and said proposals would be revised to reflect creditors' objections. Last month the Norwegian company outlined a €400m rights issue as part of a plan that would give its senior secured noteholders at least 77% of the equity and prevent the shareholders and unsecured creditors from being effectively wiped out.
