Zenith looks for five-year dollar trade

Zenith bank has announced plans to return to the market for the first time since 2014 with an up to US$500m five-year note under the US$1bn Global MTN programme. Last year Access Bank broke the Nigerian bank shackles with a US$300m five-year trade that formed part of a transaction that included an exchange offer on its 2017s. Zenith's deal will be standalone. The bank's 2019s have rallied significantly this year, from mid-7s to just over 5%.
