Amalgamated IPO brings social conscience to Wall Street

Wall Street and social justice have not always fit comfortably in the same sentence, but times are changing. Union-controlled amalgamated bank brought its social conscience to the US IPO market last week. The New York City-based bank priced an offering of 6.7m shares at US$15.50, towards the lower end of the US$15-$17 range, for gross proceeds of US$103.9m.
