Ex-Jefferies Asia CEO jumps to blockchain

Michael Alexander, previously Jefferies' most senior banker in Asia, has joined block.one, the company behind the world's fifth largest cryptocurrency, as chief executive officer of its venture capital arm. Alexander is the second senior banker in the region to join the company after Rob Jesudason, formerly Commonwealth Bank of Australia's chief financial officer, was appointed as group president and chief operating officer in May.
