摘要

COMMONWEALTH BANK OF AUSTRALIA last week agreed to the biggest fine in the history of the country's banking sector as it finally drew a line under money-laundering charges that have taken a toll on its reputation and share price. Australia's largest bank will pay a fine of A$700m (US$535.7m) plus the A$2.5m legal costs of financial crime agency Austrac. It also acknowledged further anti-money laundering breaches beyond those it already admitted to.
