Hong Kong details scheme to boost bond issuance

The hong kong monetary authority last week announced details of a three-year pilot grant scheme to encourage more companies to issue bonds in Hong Kong for the first time. The programme, with an initial HK$150m (US$19m) of funding provided by the Hong Kong government, will only be available to issuers that have not sold bonds in Hong Kong in the past five years.
