Agribusiness KERNEL has increased its pre-export credit facility to US$420m from US$300m and extended the maturities by one year. A US$250m tranche has been extended to August 2024 and a US$170m tranche has been extended to August 2023. The facility will provide Kernel with working capital for its sunflower oil business in Ukraine, including the procurement of oilseeds for its new oil extraction plant, the final commissioning of which is scheduled for spring 2022. The financing was originally put in place in October 2017 via a group of European banks.
