UBS veteran Kendall to join UniCredit

Former UBS banker Sam Kendall has been given a wide-ranging role at UNICREDIT'S corporate and investment bank, in charge of industry coverage across the Italian bank's equity and debt capital markets businesses as well as its advisory function. Kendall worked closely with UniCredit chief executive Andrea Orcel, when the latter was head of UBS's investment bank. In a note Richard Burton, head of CIB at UniCredit, said Kendall would work closely with Goffredo Guizzardi, head of loan financing, and they will report to him. Kendall is the latest of a number of Orcel's former investment banking colleagues at UBS to join his new firm since his appointment earlier this year. At UBS Kendall was global head of ECM before running the investment bank in Asia-Pacific and the Americas.
