摘要

Opportunities to put money to work in some of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals are so limited that they are effectively uninvestable, a major investor has warned. Academics are also highlighting challenges to corporate action on the SDGs. "All 17 SDGs highlight crucial environmental and social issues but some of them offer few, if any, investment options," said NN Investment Partners. The sustainability-focused asset manager, soon to be part of Goldman Sachs, highlights three SDGs that are particularly difficult to invest in: "Gender Equality" (#5), "Life Below Water" (#14); and "Life on Land" (#15). As "it is much harder to find listed equities that make positive impacts in relation to" this trio, NN excludes them from its impact investing strategies.
