Private equity firm BRIDGEPOINT provided a throwback to hot European IPOs earlier this year when its up to £789m IPO was covered at the maximum valuation inside 90 minutes on Wednesday.Coverage at the top of the 300p-350p range was achieved so quickly thanks to a range that offers a discount to other listed PE firms, and the backing of three cornerstone investors.Fidelity International and T Rowe Price are each investing £120m and Mawer £60m for an aggregate £300m.The speedy coverage did not surprise bankers involved, with one saying that there had been very strong interest from meetings ahead of launch.
