Conditions in the US credit markets are superb and have remained that way for longer than for any period in the last decade. Not surprisingly, therefore, some market watchers are bracing themselves for a reversion to the mean. One of the clearest indicators of the corporate bond market's strength is that average ICE BofA investment-grade credit spreads are at post-financial crisis lows of 90bp over Treasuries.
