Victory City lenders demand repayment

Hong Kong-listed knitwear maker VICTORY CITY INTERNATIONAL HOLDINGS has received a statutory demand to repay the outstanding principal and interest of a HK$2.6bn-equivalent (US$335m) syndicated loan it raised in 2017, according to a February 3 stock exchange filing. The demand came after company missed an approximately HK$290m principal repayment due December 14. Victory City and two of its subsidiaries, Victory City Overseas and Global Honour Investments, which are the guarantors of the loan, received a statutory demand dated February 2 for the repayment of approximately US$36.47m and HK$1.9bn.
