Verizon dials in US$25bn nine-part deal

VERIZON COMMUNICATIONS ploughed into the US high-grade primary market on Thursday with a US$25bn nine-part jumbo deal to help fund its US$45bn purchase of spectrum from last month's C-band auction. The deal will refinance a US$25bn bridge loan Verizon took out at the conclusion of the auction, in which the telecommunications company spent nearly twice as much as the next largest bidder, AT&T, in an effort to shore up its 5G network and deliver faster internet speeds to its customers.
