Endesa signs €450m sustainability-linked factoring loan

Spanish utility ENDESA has signed a €450m sustainability-linked factoring loan with CAIXABANK, in one of the first major receivables deals in Europe to formally tie pricing to the achievement of company-wide ESG objectives. More companies are linking multiple debt instruments to broader sustainable key performance indicator targets, and attention is now turning to short-term instruments such as factoring loans and commercial paper programmes.
