NATIONAL BANK OF GREECE issued the first green bond issue from a Greek bank last Thursday, landing a twice subscribed €500m senior offering that furthered the development of its investor base and attested to appetite for higher beta credits. In the wake of the Greek debt crisis, the country's banks have regained and maintained their capital markets access in the last few years, having initially issued covered bonds and more recently bank capital.
