Brightline preps biggest ever tax-exempt green bond

BRIGHTLINE is reaching far and wide among different investor groups across the globe as it seeks to sell a jumbo US$3.2bn municipal green bond to help fund the construction of a highspeed railway between Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The senior secured deal is being touted as the biggest ever sale of tax-exempt green bonds, but it is also seen as a challenging trade. And leads have been calling buyside accounts in Asia, Europe and the US in an effort to get the funding off the ground as soon as this week.
