A slew of companies is expected to tap the leveraged loan market in the coming weeks as investors welcome news of a potential Covid-19 vaccine and grow confident Republicans will maintain their majority in the US Senate. More than US$6bn in new term loans were launched last week, as secondary prices rallied after pharmaceuticals company Pfizer announced on Monday that initial trial results for an experimental vaccine was more than 90% effective.
