European leveraged loan bankers desperate for fees as a result of the ongoing low deal flow are frustrated after a handful of lucrative public-to-private financings have collapsed. The high number of take privates in the market have been welcomed by loan bankers, attracted by what are typically larger financings than traditional buyout deals. Leveraged loan volumes are down this year, leaving banks behind budget.
