ICMA sees 12 areas to tackle for ECB's EDDI project

A dozen issues need to be addressed before a potential one-stop EU issuance platform can be successfully implemented, according to the international capital markets association. The issues include cost, the governance framework, use of data and providing a buffer against systemic risks, according to ICMA's response to an ECB consultation on a pan-European issuance mechanism dubbed European Distribution of Debt Instruments, or EDDI.
