Capital markets week ahead: Aramco, Argentina, DraftKings

OIL BE DAMNED! Saudi Aramco is set for talks with its banks after submitting a request to take out a USSlObn loan. The world's largest oil producer first asked for the facility more than a year ago, but then failed to follow up with banks that submitted proposals. But now, with oil trading at its lowest in almost two decades, the producer has decided to dust off the request. The company has been coy about what it intends to use the facility for. Some of the money may well be used to finance its acquisition of petrochemicals firm Sabic, a deal put together to give the Public Investment Fund the money it needs to fund an overhaul of the Saudi economy after plans to sell a US$1 OObn stake in Aramco fell through. Some money may also be used to make up for lost revenues.
