High-yield bond investors have been waiting to see whether private equity groups will step in to save portfolio companies after the global spread of coronavirus caused bonds to tank and over-levered structures to look untenable.So when Blackstone last week bought €120m of the outstanding €400m senior secured PIK toggle notes issued by its struggling portfolio company - Spanish gaming company cirsa - some bondholders read it as a show of support by the private equity giant.
