Pexip aims to revive European IPOs

As a candidate for the first European IPO in months there are arguably none better than Norwegian video conferencing software developer PEXIP, which comes to market as employees around the world are working from home. Pexip's appeal is enhanced by its strong security features, and the consequent contrast to key listed peer Zoom, which has seen enthusiastic take-up but at the cost of many embarrassing headlines about uninvited - occasionally undressed - users crashing other people's meetings - incidents dubbed zoombombing. Nonetheless, the IPO - led by ABG Sundal Collier, Carnegie and Pareto Securities - is a bold move as it comes more than two months after the most recent IPO in Europe and with volatility still at an elevated level. "We have been as nervous as everyone else about the capital markets, and still are a bit. But fundamentally we believe we can do it with the support we've had from global investors," said Pexip CEO Odd Sverre Ostlie.
