Practically all of baoshang bank's creditors have been repaid in full only a few weeks after China's takeover of the ailing bank prompted concerns that it would impose heavy losses on liability holders. The People's Bank of China said last week that around 99.98% of interbank creditors with debts of more than Rmb5bn (US$721m) received full repayment of the principal. The 0.02% of creditors that have not received full repayment got 90% of their principal back on average.
