Landlords of UK retail property are starting to fight back against tenants proposing company voluntary arrangements in order to close stores and reduce their rent burdens. Over the past two years there has been a swathe of such CVAs from UK retailers, including Mothercare, New Look, House of Fraser and Carpetright.
