摘要

goldman sachs chief executive David Solomon apologised for the bank's role in the scheme to defraud the Malaysian development bank 1MBD during an earnings call last week and set aside another US$516m in reserves for it and other legal issues. But the apology rang hollow for Malaysia's finance minister Lim Guan Eng. Eng said his government is seeking US$7.5bn in reparations -more than the US$6bn face value of the two bonds Goldman underwrote for 1MDB "An apology is not enough. An apology with US$7.5bn, that is what matters," Eng said.
