Wellington, New Zealand—The New Zealand government Dec. 14 released its second National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Strategy (NEECS) for public comment.rnOnce finalized, the NEECS will be part of the National Energy Strategy (NZES), of which a draft was released Dec. 11 (29 INER 956, 12/13/06).rnThe first NEECS was adopted in 2001 (24 INER 891, 10/10/01).rnThe draft strategy is comprised of 12 sector-based action plans for implementing the energy efficiency and renewable energy objectives of the NZES.
