EU Chemicals Agency to Coordinate REACH Enforcement With Member States

Enforcement agencies in EU member states have started a coordinated program to check that importers and manufacturers of chemical substances are in compliance with the European Union's REACH chemicals law, according to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).rnECHA said April 30 the joint enforcement project will give "a first impression of the level of compliance by manufacturers and importers" under REACH, which stands for the registration, evaluation, and authorization of chemicals.
