A draft standard for carbon capture and storage that could be a model for international guidelines is available for public review and comment until Dec. 27, the International Performance Assessment Center for Geologic Storage of Carbon Dioxide (IPAC-CO2) announced Nov. 4. Once completed, the standard—which the nonprofit group claims is the world's first—will provide guidelines for regulators, industry, and others involved with scientific and commercial carbon capture projects, the group said in a news release. The group is based in Re-gina, Saskatchewan.
