摘要

Water levels in the Great Lakes have been approaching historically low levels, and the situation could persist throughout the winter and into spring 2013, officials from several federal agencies told the Senate and House Great Lakes Task Forces on Dec. 4.Representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Geologic Survey, and the International Joint Commission, which assists the United States and Canada in preventing and resolving water disputes, said they have explored a potential link to climate change but have not found conclusive evidence to identify it as a cause of the low water levels.
