摘要

Volumes of used electronics throughout the world are expected to rise by a third to 65.4 million tons by 2017, a new report from a United Nations-backed partnership concludes. The report, presented largely as an interactive map resource showing e-waste data, concluded the U.S. and China make up the two largest sources of e-waste in the world. The report represents one of the first attempts to quantify the scale of e-waste generation by country. American groups released another study to coincide with the UN report examining domestic and trans-boundary flows of e-wastes.
