South Korea Expands Fugitive Emissions Control, Tightens Motorcycle Regulation

South Korea has added 14 industries to the list of those subject to fugitive emissions control, which requires registration of facilities releasing gases or vapors from pressurized equipment and compliance with pollution abatement standards, the Ministry of Environment said July 21. Fugitive emissions regulation initially required six industries-oil refining, iron, steel, synthetic resin, synthetic rubber and petrochemicals-to keep existing and new facilities compliant with industry-specific standards (38 INER 823, 7/1/15).
