Danish Pesticide Company Cheminova Rejects Toxic Waste Site Cleanup Proposal

The board of directors of Denmark-based pesticide company Cheminova A/S has rejected a proposal from its majority shareholder to contribute 125 million kroner ($17.9 million) toward the cleanup of pollution at a former waste facility at Harboore, Jutland. Lene Faurskov, investor relations manager at parent company Auriga Industries A/S, told Bloomberg BNA April 13 that the company has no legal obligation to fund cleanup of the Groyne 42 site on the North Sea.
