摘要

This weekend trade minsters from the world's 20 largest economies will endeavor to advance a deal to cut tariffs on an array of environmental products. China is seeking to avoid discussing the Environmental Goods Agreement (EGA) at the Group of 20 (G-20) trade ministerial meeting in Shanghai, but U.S. trade negotiators will push for the completion of the accord in September, participants in the meeting told Bloomberg BNA July 7. The EGA is being negotiated among a subset of 17 World Trade Organization members-such as the European Union, Japan, South Korea and the U.S.-that account for roughly 80 percent of global trade in more than 200 products that could help reduce the effects of climate change. The products include solar panels, water filters, electric motors and hydraulic turbines.
