POST-MACONDO -OFFSHORE EHS REGULATION

摘要

Financial provision for EHS liabilities arising from an equivalent incident to Macondo on the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) has come under the spotlight in a big way. It was an area of focus for the House of Commons Energy and Climate Change Committee inquiry into UK Deepwater Drilling chaired by Tim Yeo MP and has also been the subject of an EU Commission consultation. The Committee published its Second Report on January 6, 2011, and received the Government's response on March 22, 2011.
