The Law and Policy of Biofuels

Not so many years ago, hardly any academic was researching biofuels policies and related issues. Now, the shelf above my head is getting progressively more bowed under the weight of books on biofuels—let alone the multitude of journal articles and reports emerging in recent years. So, what does this new book offer? Well, I am certainly not aware of other books which advertise in their title an exploration of both the law and policy of biofuels. That said, there are a few books available which, while focused primarily on one of these dimensions, do also make some reference to the other. The advantage of this book is that, by being an edited collection, it is able to include contributions from legal scholars and policy scholars. As such, it really does cover both topics, with a pretty good balance between the two.
