Mount Vernon Extends Soft Finish to FR Fabrics

Mount Vernon is to offer its Amsoft finish to all flame retardant (FR) fabrics in its six collections. The finish is applied using the Biancalani Airo 24 machine, which uses a chemical-free softening process to provide a naturally soft hand and improved drape to FR fabrics. The Amsoft process is designed to soften fabric at a speed of 40m per minute and can process up to 600kg of fabric per hour. The Amsoft finish can be applied to the company's selection of flame resistant protective fabrics: Amtex C100 (100% cotton).
