Dyeing with an ultra-low liquor ratio

TAIWAN'S ACME IS showing its new environmentally friendly and economical dyeing machine, the AM-ICD. It says that, unlike traditional dyeing machines, where the fabric is kept in motion by a large volume of water, the new-generation machine is equipped with a conveyer to transport the fabrics, making it possible to operate it with a liquor ratio that can be as low as 1:2.5. This enables the machine to reduce its water, steam, energy and chemicalconsumption, as well as effluent, by more than 65% compared to traditional dyeing machines, says ACME.
